. A ray of white light passes through a prism. Answer the following questions:

(i) What happens to white light? What is this phenomenon called?

(ii) Which colour deviates the most and which colour deviates the least?

(iii) Give an example observed in nature, which is based on this phenomenon.​

When light passes through a prism the light bends. As a result, the different colors that make up white light become separated. This happens because each color has a particular wavelength and each wavelength bends at a different angle.
