Answer:

For first square picture

As it is square type picture so , Area = side²

Area of picture = 950

Let side of picture be a

Now,

Area = 950

a² = 950 •(Area = side² = a²)

a=√950

a=30.8 units

So length of first square picture is 30.8 units

For another square picture

As it is square type picture so , Area = side²

Area of picture = 1200 sq.inches

Let side of picture be b

Now,

Area = 1200

b² = 1200 •(Area = side² = b²)

b= √1200

b= 34.64 inches

So length of first square picture is 34.64 inches

Given : square pictures

Area  = 950 inch²

Area  = 1200 inch²

To Find : Length of each side of picture

Solution :

Each side of Square are equal

Area of Square = Side length²

Hence Side length = √Area

Side of Area   950 inch²  = √950

                30.82

    3          950.0000

                 9

             _____

 60            050

                    0

               _____

608             5000

                     4864

                  ______

6162            13600

                     12324

                 ________

                      1276

     √950 ≈ 30.82 inch

Length  of each side of picture with area  950 inch²  is about 30.82 inches

Similarly Length  of each side of picture with area  120 inch²  is about 34.64 inches
