Hey friend,
Here is your answer:

Non Cooperation Movement was launched in December 1920 adopted by the Congress as a new plan of struggle against the British government to attain swaraj.
This was called as Non Cooperation Movement as it asked people to cooperate with British.
The charkha and khadi became the symbols of the Non Cooperation Movement. Charkha means spinning wheel and khadi means hand spun cloth.
This movement had a powerful impact on India. It turned out to become a mass movement.
But this movement was called off by Mahatma Gandhi after the Chauri Chaura incident when a police station was fired in Uttar Pradesh and 22 policemen died.

Hope it helps u.
