A recent study of 250 nurses found that of 150 female nurses, 50 had bachelor’s degrees; and of 80 male nurses, 30 had bachelor’s degrees. If a nurse is selected at random, find the probability that the nurse is a male nurse without a bachelor’s degree.

HEY MATE YOUR ANSWER IS HERE....

probability \: of \: an \: event =  \\  \\  \frac{no \: of \: favourable \: outcomes}{total \: no \: of \: outcomes \:  \: }

★ SOLUTION ★

TOTAL NO OF MALE NURSE = 80

TOTAL NO OF MALE NURSE WITH BACHELOR DEGREE = 30

TOTAL MALE NURSE WITHOUT BACHELOR DEGREE = 80 - 30 = 50

HENCE ,

probability \:  \\  \\  =  \frac{50}{250 }  \\  \\  =  \:  \frac{1}{5}
