Let the sugar cups be x

Ratio of butter and sugar=4:5

Cups of butter=16

According to question:-

 \sf \frac{4}{5}  =  \frac{16}{x}

 \sf =  \frac{ \cancel{16} \times 5}{ \cancel4 \times x}  =  \frac{20}{x}

 \sf = \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:    \frac{20}{x}  = 1 \\ \\    \sf= 20 = 1 \times x \\ \\   \sf = \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  20 = x

So 20 cups of sugar are used.
