A recipe needs 4 1/2cups of sugar . Sona has 2 1/8 cups of sugar. How much more sugar does sona need?

Answer:

4 1/2= 4.5 ---(i)

2 1/8=2.125----(ii)

From subtracting (ii) to (i) we get answer

4.5 — 2.125 = 2.375 or 2 3/8
