if the rectangle and parallelogram are made on the base with the same parallel lines

therefore their areas are equal  area of ractangle = area of parallelogram

base =10 cm

perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)

                                  36=2(l+10)

                                  18=l +10

therefore L =8 cm

area of rectangle = lb

                            = 8(10)=80

therefore area of parallelogram is 80 cm square
