A rectangle and Square are drawn with the some base. what criteria should the rectangle fulfill to have an area lesser than that of the square?​

Answer:

Suppose the length of the base as 'l'.

Then Square with base 'l' has an area of l²

Then Rectangle with base 'l' has an area of lb, provided b as the breadth.

Then to satisfy the condition;

l² > lb

i.e

l > b
