Perimeter of the rectangle = Perimeter of the square

Given,

Length of the square = 40 cm

Perimeter of the square = 4 × 40 cm

= 160 cm

Hence, Perimeter of the Rectangle = 160 cm

Breadth of the Rectangle = 20 cm

Perimeter of the Rectangle = 160 cm

Now,

2 × (l + b) = Perimeter of the Rectangle

→ 2 × (l + 20) = 160

→ l + 20 = 160/2

→ l + 20 = 80

→ l = 80 - 20

→ l = 60

Hence, The Length of the Rectangle = 60 cm
