A rectangle and square have the same perimeter of 120m if the length of the rectangle is 6m more than side of square find it's breadth and area.​

Let the side of the square be x

Perimeter given =120m

Perimeter of square =4 × side

4x=120

x=120÷4

= 30m

Length of a rectangle = 30 +6 = 36m

Let the breadth be b

Perimeter of rectangle =2(L+B)

2(36+b)=120

36+b=120÷2

b = 60-36

b = 24m

Area of rectangle = L ×b

36 × 24 = 864
