Answer:

The area of the path is - 2700m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Length of the field - 200m

Width of the field - 60m

Length of the field with path = (200 + 5 + 5)m = 210m

Width of the field with path=(60 + 5 + 5)m = 70m

Area of field = Length × Width = 200 × 60  =12000m²

Area of the field with path =Length × Width :

⇒ 210 × 70 = 14700m²

Now, area of the path = Area of the field with path − Area of field

(14700 - 12000)m² =2700m²

Answer:

Given :-

  • Dimensions of field = 200 m × 60 m
  • a rectangle field has a path 5m wide

To Find :-

Area of path

Solution :-

Area of field excluding path = 200 × 60

Area = 12,000 m²

Now,

New Length = 200 + 2(5) = 200 + 10 = 210 m

New Breadth = 60 + 2(5) = 60 + 10 = 70 m

Now,

New Area = New Length × New Breadth

Area = 210 × 70

Area = 14,700 m²

 \large \sf \pink{Now}

Area of path = New area - Old Area

Area of path = 14,700 - 12,000

Area of path = 2,700 m²
