Answer:

perimeter of rectangle =l×b

=90×32

=2,880m

radius =14m

=14+14

=28

1m is 50 rupees

28is =28×50 =₹ 1,400

Given:-

  • Length of ground = 90 m
  • Breadth of ground = 32 m
  • Radius of circular tank = 14 m

To Find:-

  • The cost of turfing the remaining portion at $50 per square metre.

Note:-

  • Refer to the attachment for the diagram.

Solution:-

We are given with the dimensions of the rectangular ground.

We'll first find the area of the ground.

Length of the ground = 90 m

Breadth of the ground = 32 m

We know,

Area of rectangle = (Length × Breadth) sq.units

Hence,

Area of the ground = (Length × Breadth) sq.units

Area = (90 × 32) m² = 2880 m²

Therefore the Area of the ground is 2880

Now,

We are also given the radius of the tank.

Radius of the tank = 14 m

We know,

Area of circle = πr² sq.units

Hence,

Area of tank = πr²

Area = 22/7 × 14 × 14

Area = 22 × 2 × 14 = 616 m²

Therefore the area of the tank is 616

Now,

Area of the remaining portion:-

Area of ground - Area of tank

Therefore,

Area of the remaining portion = (2880 - 616) m²

Area of the remaining portion = 2264 m²

Now,

We are given with the cost of turfing 1 m² = $50

So,

Cost of turfing 2264 m² = 50 × 2264 = 113200

Therefore the cost of turfing the remaining area at $50 per is $113200.
