Given:

  • The side of the square is 10 m.

  • The breadth[width] of the rectangle is 8 m.

  • Area of the rectangle = area of the square.

Area of the square = side².

Area of the square = 10² = 100 m².

The area of the rectangle is also 100 m².

Area of the rectangle = l*b.

100 = l*8.

l = 100/8 = 50/4 = 25/2 = 12.5 m.

Now, perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l+b).

= 2(12.5+8).

= 2(20.5).

= 41 m.

Therefore, the perimeter of the rectangle is 41 m.

Given,

The Side of Square = 10cm

Breadth of Rectangle = 8cm

It is said that the area of square and Rectangle are equal.

Area of Square = Side × Side

= 10 × 10

= 100cm^2

Area of Rectangle = l × b = 100

l × 8 = 100

l = 100/8

l = 12.5

Then,

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l + b )

= 2(12.5 + 8 )

= 2(20.5)

= 41cm

Therefore, the perimeter of Rectangle is 41cm.
