Step-by-step explanation:

let width be x

length is 12cm

also length is two times the width

so we can say that:- 2x = length

2x = 12

x = 6

Area of rect. = length × breath/width

=> 12 × 6

Area of rect. = 72

Answer:

Hey there is your answer

when width is 2 times smaller than length

then

width=12/2

=6cm

and

area=2(l+b)

=2(12+6)

=2*18

=36

hope it is helpful
