breadth= x

length=3x

perimeter of rectangle= 2(l+b)= 20

= 2(3x+x) = 20

=6x+2x = 20

= 8x = 20

x= 20/8

x= 2.5

breadth= x= 2.5

length= 3x= 3×2.5= 7.5

area= l×b = 2.5×7.5= 18.75²

Answer:

18.75

Step-by-step explanation:

x=width of rectangle

3x=length of rectangle

Perimeter of rectangle= 2l+2b

=2(3x)+2(x)=20

=6x+2x=20

=8x=20

=x=20/8

=x=2.5
