A rectangle will have the maximum possible area for a given perimeter(it’s given 100cm) when all the sides are of same length. Since every rectangle has four sides,
S+S+S+S = 100
4S = 100
S = 100/4 = 25cm
Since side of the rectangle is 25cm and all the sides are equal in order to get the greatest possible area for rectangle, we can write area of rectangle as:
L*B = 25*25 = 625
S+S+S+S = 100
4S = 100
S = 100/4 = 25cm
Since side of the rectangle is 25cm and all the sides are equal in order to get the greatest possible area for rectangle, we can write area of rectangle as:
L*B = 25*25 = 625
