Let the breadth be x

Length = 3x

Given that the perimeter is 48 cm:

Perimeter = 2( Length + Breadth)

48 = 2( 3x + x)

48 = 2(4x)

48 = 8x

x = 48 ÷ 8

x = 6

Find the length and breadth:

breadth = x = 6 cm

Length = 3x = 3(6) = 18 cm

Answer: The length is 18 cm and the breadth is 6 cm
