area of rectangle = area of square
l*b=(side) ²
l*20=(40)²
l=(40*40)/20
l=80
length of rectangle =80 cm

perimeter of square =4(side)=4(40)=160cm
perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)=2(20+80)=2(100)=200cm
so, perimeter of rectangle ≠ perimeter of square

hope this helps you.
