Given:

Area of the rectangle = 1/6 cm²

Length of the rectangle = 1.5 cm

To FInd:

a) Find the width of the rectangle

b) Find the perimeter of the rectangle

Formula:

Area of a rectangle = Length x Width

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(Length + Width)

Solution:

Find the width of the rectangle:

Area of a rectangle = Length x Width

1/6 = 1.5 x Width

1/6 = 3/2 x with

Width = 1/6 ÷ 3/2

Width = 1/9 cm

Find the perimeter of the rectangle:

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(Length + Width)

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(1.5  + 1/9)

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(3/2  + 1/9)

Perimeter of a rectangle = 29/9 cm

Answer: The width is 1/9 cm and the perimeter is 29/9 cm
