Answer:Let length of the rectangle be 'l '

and breadth of the rectangle be 'b'

Now,

Given that l×b =210cm.sq

therefore, b=210/l (1)

Again 2(l+b)=58 cm

⇒l+b=29 cm

⇒l+(210/l)= 29 cm(from 1)

⇒(l²+210)/l=29 cm

⇒l²+210=29 l

⇒l²-29 l +210 =0

⇒l²- 35 l -6 l +210 = 0 ( by splitting the terms)

⇒l(l-35) - 6 ( l-35) = 0

⇒(l-6) ( l-35) =0

∴(l-6)=0 or (l - 35) = 0

⇒l = 6       ⇒l = 35

now ,

if l = 6 then b =210/l

                     =210/6

                      =35

and if l = 35 then b = 210/l

                               =210/35

                                =6
