Step-by-step explanation:

Area = 24 cm^2

Let breadth be 'b'.

So, xb = 24 cm^2

b = 24/x

Now, perimeter = 20cm

2(length+ breadth) = 20

X + 24/x = 10

X^2 - 10x + 24 = 0

X^2 - 6x -4x +24=0

X ( x -6) - 4(x-6) = 0

(X - 4) (x-6)=0

X = 4 or X = 6
