A rectangle has length 24 cm and breadth 18 cm. Compare it's area to the area of square of side 16 cm​

Area of rectangle= length × breadth

=24cm×18cm

=432 cm²

now area of square=side ×side

=16cm×16cm

=256 cm²

So. On comparing,, the area of rectangle is greater than the area of square by 432cm²-256cm² = 176 cm²
