Given,

Length of rectangle = 50 cm

breadth of rectangle = 45 cm

Side of square = 48 cm

Area of square

= (side)²

= (48 cm)²

= 2304 cm²

Area of rectangle

= l × b

= 45 cm × 50 cm

= 2250 cm²

Area of square - area of rectangle = 2304 cm ² - 2250 cm² = 54 cm²

Hence, the area of square is more by 54 cm²
