Answer:

answer is 5.5 cm^2 (in your book it's a printin mistake by oxford)

Step-by-step explanation:

tep-by-step explanation:

Original Rectangle:

Length = 20cm

Breadth = 15 cm

Therefore Area = 20 × 15

=300 cm^2

New Rectangle

Length = (5%of 20) + 20

= 21cm

Breadth = 15 - (3%of 15)

=15 - 0.45

=14.55 cm

Area = 21 × 14.55

=305.55 cm^2

Increased Area = 5.55 cm^2

Hope it helps you. This is the right answer.
