Let the length of the rectangle be x cm.

Thus,Its breadth will be (x+3)cm.

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(length × breadth)

                                          = 2(x+x+3)cm

                                          = 2(2x +3)cm

                                           = 4x +6

According to Question,Perimeter = 54 cm

Thus, 4x + 6 = 54 cm

        4x = (54-6)cm

        4x = 48 cm

         x = 48/4 cm

         x = 12 cm

Thus, Length = x = 12 cm

         Breadth = (x + 3) = (12 + 3) = 15 cm
