length of second rect: l+6

breadth of second rect: b-4

area: l+6 × b-4

= 6b-4l+lb-24                            (2)

equating 1 and 2

lb= 6b -4b +lb-24

lb-lb=6b-4l-24

4l+6b= 24

or 2l+3b=12

length of third rect: 8+l

breadth of third rect: b
