 \bigstar  \: \pmb {\bold{given}}

• Length of the side of a square = 8 cm

• Length of the side of a Rectangle = 6 cm

• Perimeter is same

\bigstar  \: \pmb {\bold{find}}

 \bold{ \bullet \:breadth \: of \: the \: rectangle}

 \bigstar  \pmb{ \sf\: solution}

 \dagger \rm \: As  \: all  \: the \:  sides \:  of  \: the  \: square  \: are  \: equal  \\  \therefore

P = 4 × s

P = 4 × 8

Perimeter = 32 cm

Now as already it is mentioned in the question perimeter is same for both the shapes .

We got new values :

Perimeter of Rectangle = 32 cm

Length of Rectangle = 6

Breadth = ?

 \underline{ \underline{ \sf \leadsto  \red{\: breadth \:  =  \frac{perimeter}{2} - length }}}

 \bold{ : \implies \: breadth =  \frac{32}{2}  - length}

 \bold{ :  \implies \: breadth =  \frac{32}{2}  - 6}

\bold{ :  \implies \: breadth =   \cancel\frac{32}{2}  = 16 - 6}

  \underline{\underline\bold{ :  \implies \:  \purple{breadth = 10}}}

 \bold{ : \implies \: breadth =  \frac{32}{2}  - length}

 \bold{ :  \implies \: breadth =  \frac{32}{2}  - 6}

\bold{ :  \implies \: breadth =   \cancel\frac{32}{2}  = 16 - 6}
