a rectangle is 16 metre by 9 metre find a side of a square whose area equals the area of rectangle by how much does the perimeter of the rectangle exceeds the perimeter of a square

here's ur answer...

area of rectangle=area of square

given:-

length of rectangle=16m

breadth of rectangle=9m

area of the rectangle=l×b

=16×9

=144m²

therefore area of the square is also 144m²

side²=144m²

side=√144

side=12m

perimeter of the rectangle=2(l+b)

=2(16+9)

=2×25

=50m

perimeter of the square=side×4

=12×4

=48m

perimeter of rectangle is more by=50-48

=2m
