A rectangle is 16mby 9m . Find the side of the square whose area equals the are of the rectangle. By how much does tje perimeter of the rectangle exceed the perimeter of the square

<b>Rectangle perimeter = 2( l + b) 
= 2( 16+9)
= 50 metres. 
Square perimeter = 4*side 
= 4*12
= 48 metres. 
Thus it's perimeter exceeds by 50 - 48 = 2 metres. 
It exceeds by 2 metres.
