Perimeter of rectangle = 2( L + B)

hence

2(L+B) = 100

L+B = 50

As per rule rectangle has maximum area when all its sides are equal ( which means it is a square)

so

L=B = 25

And maximum area  

= 25 *25 = 625 sq cm
