a rectangle is made up of three identical rectangles as shown in the figure find the width of each rectangle if length of the largest rectangle is 9cm and its area is 34sqcm

Answer:

L = length of rectangle ; W = width of rectangle

Perimeter = 2 (L+ W) =32

L = 3W

P = 2 ( 3W + W ) = 32

W = 4 cm & L = 12

Area of square formed by the 3 rectangles = 12( 3 × 4)

A = 144 cm²
