solution:-)

Let the width of a rectangle is x .

Then , the length of a rectangle be 2x .

We know that :-

According to question :-

2(2x+ x ) = 42

=> 4x + 2x = 42

=> 6x = 42

=> x = 42/6

=> x = 7

Putting x = 7

Then , length = 2x = 2×7 = 14
