A rectangle lawn 75 m by 60 m has two roads each 4 m wide running in the middle of it ,one parallel to length and the other parallel to breadth find the cost of gravelling the roads at 14.50 per sq meter.​

We will first find the area of the roads
   Road 1 - 75m * 4m = 300m square

   Road 2 - 60m * 4m = 240m square

Now we would exclude the part that has come two times
  So its area will be = 4 *4 = 16m square

  So final area will be - (Sum of the 2 roads i.e 300 + 240

                                                                           = 540m ² - The part that has

                                                                            come twice - 16 m square

                                                                             =524m²

  Now we will multiply it by the cost i.e 14.50 which will be
