Solution :-

Given,

Length of the Rectangle (l) = 40 cm

Breadth of the Rectangle (b) = 20 cm

To Find, The Ratio of the Length of the Rectangle to the Breadth . . .

Ratio of the Length of the Rectangle to the Breadth of the Rectangle = Length of the Rectangle : Breadth of the Rectangle

⇒ 40 : 20

After Simplification, we get -

\bold {40 : 20} = \frac{4 \cancel 0}{2 \cancel 0} = \frac{4}{2} = \frac{2}{1}  = \bold {2 : 1}

Thus,

\mathfrak {\red {The\: Ratio\: of\: the\: Length\: of\: the\: Rectangle\: to\: the\: Breadth\: is\: \boxed {\bold {2 : 1}} . . .}}
