area of rectangle pars =2x(l+b)
= 2x(40+2.5+2.5)+(16+2.5+2.5)m
=2x(45+21)m
= 2x66m
= 132m
area of the path = area of rectangle pqrs- area of rectangle abcd
= 132m - 112m
= 20m
Hence the area of path is 20m
