A rectangle plot is 110m× 80m. The plot is to be laid with grass leaving 5m wide strip inside the plot around it. Find the area to be laid with grass.​

Breadth=80m

Length of strip=5m

ATQ

Area of plot = l×b

=110×80

=8800m²

lenght of plot without strip =110-10

=100m

Breadth of plot without strip=80-10

=70m

Area of plot without strip =l×b

=100×70

=7000m²

Area to be lead with grass =8800-7000

=1800m²

ANS:1800m² is to be lead with grass in the rectangular plot.
