a rectangle's length is 5cm less than twice it's width. If the length is decreasee by 5cm and width is increased by 2cm, the perimeter of the resulting rectangle will be 74cm. Find the original lenght and width of the rectangle​

lenght = 2y -5

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

a according to question

2{ 2y-5-5+y+2)=74

3y-8= 37

3y = 45

y = 15

then lenght will be

2y-5

2×15-5

25 cm

hence ,

lenght = 25 cm

width = 15 cm
