Answer

area = L x B

given  :

length = 40 m 50 cm

breadth = 30 m 25 cm

converting both into cm

1 m = 100 cm

length = 40 x 100 + 50 = 4000+50 = 4050 cm

breadth = 30 x 100+25 = 3000+25 = 3025 cm

area = 4050 x 3025

       = 12251250 cm square

perimeter = 2 ( L +B )

                 = 2 x 7075

                  = 14150 cm

The Area and perimeter of a rectangle will be "12251250 cm²" and "14150 cm". Further explanation is given below.

Step-by-step explanation:

In the given question, we have to find the area and the perimeter of the rectangle.

Now, according to the question,

The length of rectangle, l= 40 m 50 cm

The breadth of rectangle, B= 30 m 50 cm

On converting "m" into "cm", we get

As we know "1 m = 100 cm" ,then

L= 40×100+50

 = 4000+50

 = 4050 cm

B= 30×100+25

 = 3000+25

 = 3025 cm

Now, Area of a rectangle= L×B

On putting the values of L and B in the above formula, we get

⇒ Area= 4050×3025

⇒         = 12251250 cm²

Perimeter of a rectangle= 2(L+B)

⇒                                       = 2(4050+3025)

⇒                                       = 2×7075

⇒                                       = 14150 cm
