let the length of rectangle be l =x .

by given condition width will be  b = x-5.

and perimeter = 266 m

we know , perimeter of rectangle = 2 (l + b)

 266 = 2 (x + x-5)

266 = 4x - 10

4x = 266+10

4x = 276

x = 276 / 4

x = 69 m

width of rectangle be x- 5 ==69 - 5 == 64  

width of rectangle == 64m

length of rectangle ==  69m
