Given :

  • Length and Breadth of a Rectangle is 19 m and 17 m respectively .

To Find :

  • Side of square if the area of rectangle is equal to the area of Sqaure .

Solution :

Firstly we'll find the Area of Rectangle :

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{Area\:of\:Rectangle=l\times{b}}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{19\times{17}}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{323\:{m}^{2}}

Now ,

As Given that the Area of Rectangle is equal to the Area of Square . So ,

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{Area\:of\:Square={(Side)}^{2}}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{323={(Side)}^{2}}

\longmapsto\tt{\sqrt{323}=Side}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{17.97\:m}

So , The Side of Square is 17.97 m .

Given :-

A rectangle with length and breadth equal to 19 m and 17 m respectively has to be converted to a square with equal area.

To Find :-

Side of square

Solution :-

Area of rectangle = Area of square

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

Area of square = side × side

Area of rectangle = 19 × 17

Area of rectangle = 323 m²

Now

Let the side of square be a

323 = a × a

323 = a²

√323 = √a²

17.97 = a

Hence

The side of the given square will be 17.97 m
