Answer:

area of rectangular field = l*b

where l is the length of field

b is the width of field

so area of field=48*40=1920 sq m ----eq1

already ploughed area= 1880 sq m ----eq2

so

area of field yet to be ploughed=1920-1880=40 sq m

Answer :-

  • The field which is not ploughed is 40m².

Step-by-step explanation :

To Find :-

  • How much field is not ploughed.

Solution :-

Given that,

  • A Rectangular field is 48m long and 40m board.
  • Field already ploughed = 1880m².

Formula used :-

Area of rectangle = l × b,

Where,

  • l = Length
  • b = Breadth

Therefore,

  • Length of field = 48m
  • Breadth of field = 40m

The area of Rectangular field is,

=> 48m² × 40m²

=> ( 48 × 40 ) m²

=> 1920

Now, the field which is not ploughed is,

=> 1920m² - 1880m²

=> ( 1920 - 1880 ) m²

=> 40m²

  • The field which is not ploughed is 40m².
