210=2(l+b)
210=2(60+b)
210/2=60+b
105-60=b
therefore, b=45 inches

so, length of shorter sides of the blanket is 45 inches

perimeter of a rectangle is 2(l+b)
if total perimeter of a rectangular blanket is 210 inches and lenght is 60 inches then we have to find the breadth.
               P= 2(l+b)
             = 210= 2(60+b)
             =210 = 120+ 2b
            =210-120 =2b
             =  90=2b
             = b= 90/2
           ∴b = 45 inches
so the length of the smaller side of the blanket is 45 inches.
