hey mate here is your answer.....

length of box = 5m

breath of box = 2m

height = 10cm = 0.1m

volume of cuboid = l x b x h

= 5*2*0.1

= 10*0.1

= 1m³

so, 1m³ of sand is filled in this box ....

hope this answer helps u...

Given :

Length (L) = 5 m

Breadth (B) = 2 m

Depth (D) = 10 cm = 0.1 m

To Find :

How many cubic metres of sand are needed to fill the box to a depth of 10cm.

Solution :

The box has a shape of a cuboid and volume of the cuboid of length 'L', Breadth 'B' and Depth 'D' can be given as -

Volume of the cuboid = L × B × D

So, Volume of the sand that can be filled in the box = 5 × 2 × 0.1

                                                                                       =  1 m³

Therefore, 1 cubic metres of sand are needed to fill the box to a depth of 10cm.
