let the box be x feet wide.

it is given that the box is twice long it's width. so, length=2x

and it is also given that the height is 3 feet less than width. so, height=x-3.

we know that,

volume of a cuboid=l×b×h

=2x × x × (x-3)

=2x²(x-3)

=2x³-6x² cubic feet.

hope this helps you☺️

LET BREADTH=x

LENGTH= 2x

HEIGHT=x-3

VOLUME = LENGTH × BREADTH× HEIGHT

= 2x × x × x-3

= 2x^2 ×(x-3)

= 2x^2 × 2x^2×(-3)

= 2x^3 × 6x^2 feet^3
