let no of packets that can be placed in cartoon is n

volume of catoon=n×volume of packet

80×60×40= n× 10×5×4

80×60×40

n = 8×12×10

n = 960

so 960 packets can be placed in the catoon

now let height be increased and it becomes h to facilitate 1200 boxes

now

volume of cartoon=80×60×h

so

volume of cartoon =1200×volume of

one packet

80×60×h = 1200×10×5×4

1200×10×5×4

h=-----------------------

80 × 60

h = 50 cm

increased height =50-40=10cm
