A rectangular cistern is 50 cm long and 20 cm wide. To save water for flushing, the owner placed a 7.5 cm × 10 cm × 20 cm rectangular brick into the cistern so that the 25 litres of water has the required depth . What is the required depth.

first find the vol of cistern which is l x b x h .= 50* 20* b =1000b then find vol of brick = 10*20*7.5= 1500 then equate them and the ans will be 1.5
