of turns N is rotated at ‘f ’ revolutions per

second in a uniform magnetic field B, the field

being perpendicular to the coil. Prove that the

The magnetic flux linked with coil at any instant

of time t is

f = NBA cosq = NBA cos wt

From Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction,

the induced emf across the coil is

E= -dphi/dt = -d/dt

f (NBA cos wt)

or e = NBAw sin wt or e = e0 sin wt

where, the maximum emf induced in the coil is when

sin wt = + 1 and is given by

e0 = NBAw

or e0 = 2pfNBA [Q w = 2pf]
