Concept

Volume is the capacity of a container to hold a substance like water, milk, etc. in its capacity.

Given

Container of square base is 2/3 full of water.

To find

Number of small container to be filled.

Explanation

If the base is of square means the breadth is also equal to 12cm.

Total volume of big container=12*45*12

=6480cm^{3}.

Volume of water filled in container=6480*2/3

=4320cm^{3}

Volume of 1 smaller cube=6*5*8

=240cm^{3}

Number of smaller cubes=

volume of water filled in big container/volume of 1 small cube

=4320/240

=18 cubes

Hence the number of smaller cubes is 18.
