Convert all the cm:

13 m 29 cm = 1329 cm

18 m 72 cm = 1872 cm

Find the Prime Factors:

1329 = 3 x 443

1872 = 2⁴ x 3² x 13

Find the LCM:

LCM = 3 cm

Find the number of tiles length-wise:

1329 ÷ 3 = 443 tiles

Find the number o tiles breadth-wise:

1872 ÷ 3 = 624 tiles

Find the number tiles needed:

Total number of tiles = 443 x 624 = 276,432 tiles

Answer: The courtyard needs 276,432 tiles

●13m29cm
=1329cm

●18m72cm
=1872cm

now \: having \: got \: the \: \\ length = 1872cm \\a nd \: breadth = 1329cm

we shall find the prime factorisation of them

1872 = {2}^{4} \times 3 ^{2} \times 13
1329 = 3 \times 443
Now, lcm of both
is =
3
now we shall find the no. of tiles in long(lengthwise)=1329÷3=443tiles
then breadthwise=1872÷3=624 tiles

\bold{therefore \: the \: number<br />\: of \: tiles \: \\<br />required = \\<br />443 \times 624 \\ = 276432 tiles}
