Length of courtyard- 18m and 72cm

Width of courtyard- 13m and 20cm

(converting them into cm )

∴Length=1872 cm   &    Width=1320cm

The edge of the square tile must be the common divisor of the dimensions of the courtyard

∴we will take the HCF of 1872 and 1320 to find the maximum edge of square tile

HCF= 24cm

Thus the edge of square tile is 24cm

So, required no. of tiles - Area of Courtyard/Area of Square Tiles

                                       =l872*1320/24*24

                                       =2471040/576

                                       =4290

Hence the least no. of tiles is 4290.
